Pancakes. It looks like movies, where the typical american family wake up in the morning and eat the wonderful and so desired pancakes.

And me, as a brazilian, trying to get into the mood. Yes, it is a great breakfast for who have hungry and don’t, they don’t get ready easely.

I have a goal and this goal go against 99% of human being, and some people can think this is a little bit exotic, and I believe other people will think comic what I am ready to say. Besides the delicious pancakes, they will help me to earn weight, that is it! (the cause is for other subject).

In my diet I would add something more heavy to achieve my goal, and them I found it. The famous pancakes! And for this happen I have to change my routine, and I need mainly…

Discipline!

To make the pancakes, I have to do some setting in my routine, and this was great for me.

I had to awake 45 minutes earlier to run the errand.

Our day has 24 hours for anyone, but nor everyone are willing to offer something in exchange for a bigger goal, over a long period.

All people have a trigger which could help them to achieve discipline.

In my case I put together something new, and my goal for earn some weight I was blessed to a incredible bonus: now I have the pleasure to eat pancakes at breakfast.

This was my trigger to improve my discipline.

My trigger probably is different of yours. People have very different goals among them, which can be achieve in innumerables ways.

Put in your mind things in a easy way and do not wait until monday to start, think just a little and put it in practice next day. I’ve already started in the next day (next morning actually!) and I am doing great, almost a pancakes master.

Long-term will be watershed to keep your routine.

Routine and discipline are very close and just really work in long-term.

It’s been 2 weeks that I am at the same routine, almost 100% without mistakes (pause for brazilian carnival), and I do not intend to change this habit soon. Maybe I will take it easy when I achieve my goal, and decrease the amount of food.

When you are thinking of sharpening your own discipline, think in something that was part of you. Your essence.

Discipline shapes who you are, how are you going to achieve your goals and when it will happen.

I didn’t meet Picasso in person (unfortunately), but I am pretty sure that to him become who is he it did’t take a month, painting just one picture per week. It took years and years, painting for long days.

The greatest painters, writters, actors, physicists, cientists…were disciplined with their own passions, and they keep a daily routine to improve their skills and seeking out their goals.

Discipline + routine + long term = success?

Keep your discipline, it helps you to have more control over your life.

When you realize you have goals and add a routine to achieve them, the first thing I can tel you is: congrats, you are taking the reins of your life!

We do not know what will happen in the next day, fact!

The grace of life is in the surprise. But this is not mean we should’t control our own life (or part of them).

Would you like to keep a habit of read two books per month? Keep discipline, you can do it.

Would you like to workout three times a week? Keep discipline, you can do it.

Would you like to write a thousand worlds a day to finish a book? Keep discipline, you can do it.

Keep control about our lives is fantastic, even if we don’t have full control about what happens with us, if we keep our habits as a routine, it is a huge start!

Right now, I have more control than I used to, now I know where I want to go and when I want to win. Looks like silly, but I think this is amazing!

And you? Are you enough disciplined to have control over your life?

Good night, because tomorrow morning I have to cook more pancakes! #peace
